When Michigan Has to ‘Go’, They Go to This Gas Station the Most
Maybe yours is by your place of work, close to home, or in between, but everyone seems to have a preference when it comes to their gas station pitstops. That isn't surprising, but what GasBuddy.com revealed in their most recent poll, is that people have different favorite fuel stops depending on what they are stopping for: Coffee, Convenience, or Potty Breaks. Fortunately, Stacker.com found the answers!
Michigan's Favorite Pit Stop for Gas Station Coffee
Gas stations have really upped their coffee game as of late, trying to compete with coffee chains by offering good coffee and gas in one stop. It's rare to see a single lonely, dirty, glass pitcher of coffee sitting nearly empty with its contents slowly cooking into a burnt coffee bark. Now you have a wide selection of convenience store cappuccinos, hot chocolate, roasted coffee with different levels of caffeine, and even a single-serve bean grinder.
Speedway took home the trophy for Michigan's favorite gas station coffee stop and it's hard to argue. The coffee island and the 7/11-owned chain are impressive, with tons of cream, flavors, and a good solid cup.
Michigan's Favorite Gas Station for Convenience Shopping
At the end of a long day at work, the last thing you might look forward to is battling the quitting time crowds at the supermarket. When it's just a couple of items, bread and milk for instance, a quick in and out at a gas station makes life a lot easier. This can be a double-edged sword as sometimes you will pay a little extra for the ease, since these stores don't have the buying power of the big superstores right?
Not the case when it comes to Michigan's favorite gas station convenience store stop: Meijer Gas Stations. Mitten State residents feel instantly at home in a Meijer store, so it's not a huge leap to assume that we prefer the familiar feel and bargain prices at these mini-Meijer locations.
Michigan's Favorite Gas Station for Potty Breaks
If you're stopping to use the bathroom you want to avoid a place that looks like it belongs in a scene from The Walking Dead or Hoarders. Having to hold it on a road trip is hard enough, but when you're finally able to go, the last thing you want is to wonder how many diseases you'll contract from sitting on a toilet seat. So where does Michigan go, when they have to go?
Holiday Stationstores have the cleanest bathrooms according to Stacker's poll of Michigan residents. If you're not familiar with Holiday, they are all over the UP and northern Michigan and are owned by Circle K.
