I have a few friends who served in the National Guard several years ago and I must say that I have great respect for everything that they did and do now for Michigan, and then some.

The National Guard is a great organization that stays focused and gets every job done to the best of their ability.

Speaking of jobs, the Michigan National Guard will start testing well water around its Grand Ledge facility for PFAS to rule out any risk of contamination.

According to the Lansing State Journal, early water testing at the Grand Ledge facility did not find PFAS in groundwater wells along West Eaton Highway. The guard wants to screen neighboring wells to confirm those results.

The National Guard will sample 14 wells south of the Grand Ledge facility. Testing could start in January if contractors get access to those properties.
