An ongoing dispute between the Michigan School Reform Office and the Lansing School District means local officials won't know ahead of time which schools could face closure because of low test scores.

Schools that could face closure are Willow Elementary, Riddle Elementary, Reo Elementary, North Elementary and Cavanaugh STEAM Elementary.  Eastern High School is currently moving in a different direction.

Like parents and students, district officials will have to wait until a list of low performing schools is released next month.

The Lansing State Journal says, the Michigan School Reform Office is expected to release its list of "priority schools", those that fell within the bottom 5 percent statewide on academic achievement on the 2015 M-STEP test on September 1st.
