In the event the name isn't ringing any bells, Owens isn't some random man plucked from the streets of the Mitten State. He's a former linebacker for the University of Michigan Wolverines ('77 to '80), was the ninth overall pick for the Los Angeles Rams in the 1981 NFL Draft (#58 in the photo above).

After his nine seasons of professional football, he became a lawyer in California, helping people with sports injuries. He's 66, divorced, has two grown sons, and, according to ABC, he's ready to find someone to share the "simple joys" of life.

ABC describes Owens as someone who is looking for a teammate in love. Jesse Palmer, an expert on all things Bachelor Nation, called him "genuine," "handsome," "smart," and "a total family man."
