C'mon bad guys and well, maybe even bad girls, too. Whoever you are. It's bad enough that you try to take advantage of people with the run of the mill scams, but using the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic to relieve people of their hard earned cash? And then even dragging the good folks at the Lansing Board of Water & Light into your nefarious scheme?

Shameful.

According to the Lansing Board of Water & Light's Facebook page, here's what's up and what to look out for:

We want to remind everyone to be on the lookout for possible scams. Scammers across the country have been using the coronavirus as the subject of door-to-door, phone and web scams.

As a reminder, we are NOT turning off any customer's utility services at this time. If you experience any suspicious activity, please report it to BWL customer service at 517-702-6006 or your local police.
