Ingham County’s 10 Most Dangerous Intersections
When you put the State Capitol and Michigan State University in one county, you're guaranteed a lot of traffic and more than a couple of fender benders. Michigan Auto Law conducted the research using the newest annual data available and, in addition to the top 10 list, offered insight into the most common reasons behind intersection accidents.
Leading Causes of Intersection Accidents
Without looking at the list, my first guess was distracted driving. I've resisted the urge to lay on the horn with a long, sustained BEEP countless times when the person in front of me is on their phone, not paying attention to the signal. However, that isn't the main reason for cross-road collisions.

According to Friedman Injury Law, that title is held by "driver error. " These "oops, my bad" infractions include ignoring red lights and stop signs, disobeying signals, and having zero clue about right-of-way rules.
