Coach Stewart’s baseball team has 0 and 10 Record

I Love the game of baseball.  Started playing at the age of eight years old and played the game for many years.  Also grew up watching the Detroit Tigers with such great players as Mickey Lolich, Bill Freehan, Al Kaline and so many others.

I've learned so much over the years that I decided to coach baseball in Okemos.  I currently help coach my son's team which is the U13 baseball team.  How well is our team doing?  Are current standings are 0 and 10.

That's right, we haven't won a single game since the season began about a month ago.  Ten straight losses in a row and not even close to a win yet.

Of course, all of the boys are working hard to get better.  We practice everything from hitting, fielding, running, sliding, you name it and we work on it.

We have a tournament this weekend at Nancy Moore Park in Okemos hoping for our first win of the season.  Please join us Monday morning from 5:30a.m. to 10a.m. and we will discuss the outcome of the Okemos tournament.  Will we win the first game of the season or not?

Do you remember that old movie from 1976 called the "Bad News Bears?"  The Bad News Bears sums up our baseball team.  In the movie, the coach decides to bring in a girl pitcher to help the bears out.  Very funny movie about kids and baseball.
