This Weekend Is Mason’s 10th Annual Sun Dried Music Festival
We are already into the end of August and some are looking forward to all the fall colors and cooler weather. There is still plenty of fun ahead for the Lansing area with plenty of festivals on the way to keep us busy.
In the coming weeks, we can look forward to the Festival Of Oddities on Sept 4th, a daylong celebration of all things weird and macabre in Michigan.
I am looking forward to the Michigan Chicken Wing Festival with live music, a wing eating contest, prizes, beer, wine, and a spirit VIP tent at Adado Riverfront Park on September 4th and 5th.
And don't forget about Charlotte Frontier Days at the Eaton County Fairgrounds with cornhole tournament, Frontier saloon, arts & crafts show, local business market, parade, and more.
Festival This Weekend
This weekend is the 10th annual Sun Dried Music Festival in Mason after it was canceled last year due to COVID-19 says fox47news.com.
Two years ago, the last time we did this, some of my committee members had said that it was going to be their last year. Well, the rumor got twisted around that it was going to be the last year of the festival," said Leon Clark, president of the Sun Dried Music Festival, Inc. "So people were coming to me all the time and saying, 'You've got to keep this festival going. It's too awesome.
They are expecting over 10,000 folks to Mason and this event raises thousands of dollars each year to help upgrades in the electrical system downtown.
Friday the festival starts at 6 p.m, and Saturday at noon. This will be fun, there will be a different band every hour until midnight. Enjoy the beverage tent, food vendors, and a kid's play area behind the courthouse, Plus a craft show. Have fun.
