That's right...located just north of St. Johns, this was a favorite little Michigan roadside attraction for decades. Many of us expected to see it along the road as part of the trip north...it would cause a smile, a finger point, and a curious thought.

It was dubbed 'Polehenge'...AND NOW IT'S GONE. Owners of the land tore it down - destroyed it in 2020 (see photos below).

Yes, I realize it's the owners legal right and privilege to do so. Whoever thought an un-built pole barn would become so endearing? Well, it did. And we shall see it on our northern journeys no more.
