Just like strawberries, cherries, apples, and other fruits in the state of Michigan, flowers have their seasons as well. And right now, we are at the peak of the lavender season. Lucky for us, there are lavender farms all across the state of Michigan that are just waiting to have their blooms plucked. Because, just like strawberries, cherries, and apples, there are you-pick lavender farms all across the Mitten state.

Taking a trip to one of the many gorgeous lavender farms across Michigan would guarantee you a few things. 1) A touch of calmness from the scent, 2) A pop of color with the blooms, 3) The chance to support farmers, and 4) Some stunning social media pics.

U-Pick Lavender Farms in Michigan

Take a look through the list below and start planning a trip, because peak lavender season doesn't last long. Blooms peak in mid-July, and will sometimes make it to August.

Indigo Lavender Farms in Imlay City

U-pick hours are seven days a week. Thursday from 10 am to 7 pm and Friday through Wednesday from 10 am to 5 pm, and it's $18 per person. Plus, their Lavender Daze event is coming up soon; July 8th - 10th.

Blake Farms in Armada

Blake Farms is more well known for its fruit offerings, like strawberries, apples, and more. But it definitely has flowers, too. There are sunflowers and wildflowers, and they host an annual Lavender Market, too. It's taking place July 14th - 16th and tickets are on sale for $12, children 10 and under are free. The festival includes u-pick lavender, in addition to lavender food and drinks, workshops, vendors, and more.

DeBuck's Sunflower Farm in Belleville

Don't let the name fool you; here's another multifaceted farm. DeBuck's has a huge sunflower farm in addition to its lavender offerings.

 Mid-Michigan Lavender in Marion

U-pick season kicked off for Mid-Michigan Lavender on July 1st and will last until Labor Day weekend. It's just $5 per bundle of u-pick fresh cut and potter lavender plants.

Lavender Labyrinth in Mears

This time around, you get exactly what the name implies; a labyrinth made of lavender.

Summerhouse Lavender Farm in Fennville

You can go during their Bloom Festival to harvest lavender, which takes place the first two weekends in July and has free admission. They host yoga throughout the summer and have a boutique with lots of lavender products.
