What Restaurant Is Opening Up Next To Strange Matter On Michigan Ave?
You love to see it. A local business actually prospering in the midst of this pandemic.
Combined, 2021 and the Pandemic are the tag team of doom we didn't see coming. They have laid waste to so many lives, jobs, and businesses over the past year, it's really hard to keep up.
Survival is no longer a driving concern of small business owners in Michigan, where a recent survey shows that 72 percent expect to withstand the pandemic.
However, effects of the last 15 months linger for them: Nearly two-thirds say COVID-19 is still negatively impacting their business and close to 50 percent say the pandemic caused permanent changes in their customer bases. (bridgemi)
That's why news like this is good for other local restaurants, customers, the community, and of course our taste buds.
Because everything you know about this place (Pablo's Old Town).
Is now coming to this place.
It'll be conveniently located on this corner.
Directly across the street from these guys (Asian Gourmet and The Green Door).
And right next door to these guys (Strange Matter Coffee Company).
Pablo's (East Side we're assuming) will be in a great neighborhood. In addition to the businesses we just showed you above, they will also be right down the street from these other two local favorites (The Avenue Cafe with Ruckus Ramen inside and China Flavor).
So if you're keeping track, there are two local bars, one amazing coffee shop, and three (count 'em THREE) Chinese/Asian restaurants in the vicinity. The only other competition for Pablo's when it comes to Mexican food would be these guys about 5 blocks away on the same street (El Oasis).
There is no official word on when Pablo's (Eastside/Michigan Ave) location will open but we will keep you posted.
