The pandemic has us all going stir-crazy but sports fans have been feeling extra nutty without any form of sports taking place. Well, FINALLY some good news because baseball is officially back this month and the Tigers have just unveiled their schedule for 2020.

Mark your calendar and set your DVR because the Tigers' Opening Day is Friday July 24 at 6:10 p.m. against the Cincinnati Reds. The Tigers posted on Twitter to "bring on the 60-game sprint."

A sprint indeed considering the MLB shortened the season to only 60 games... the shortest since 1878.

The Tigers will play the Reds in two exhibition games before a weekend series. Their first home game at Comerica Park will be Monday the 27th at 7:10 p.m against the Kansas City Royals. And yes, to an empty park.

Tigers manager, Ron Gardenhire said in a statement he believes the team has a chance,

We have some pretty good hitters. We’ve got some pretty good pitchers.

Each baseball team will have six days off after opening day through the end of the season on September 27.

The official first game of the MLB 2020 season will be World Series champs, Washington Nationals against the New York Yankees on the 23rd. The Giants and Dodgers will also play later that day.

While we're excited baseball is back it's definitely going to be different since there won't be any fans allowed. In addition, there will be rules players have to follow including showering at home, no high-five's, and no spitting.

All games will be broadcast on Fox Sports Detroit. You can see their revised schedule below:
