According to the Lansing State Journal, the Michigan State women's golf team stood in fourth place on Tuesday after nine holes of the second round of the NCAA regional at Forest Akers Golf Course.

The top six teams and top three individuals from the non-qualifying teams from the NCAA regionals will advance to the NCAA championships, which will take place May 17-22 at Blessing's Golf Club in Fayetteville, Arkansas.

MSU and Forest Akers are hosting an NCAA women's golf regional for the first time since 2002.

The MSU Spartans were led on Monday by freshman Haylin Harris, who shot a career best 3 under par 69 and was alone in second place overall.

After nine holes Tuesday, Harris remained second, shooting a 1 under par through nine holes.
