Just about everyone's heard the phrase, "I scream, you scream, we all scream for ice cream!" I bet you even kind of sang along when you read that just now. However, I don't know that I've ever heard a saying like that when it came to donuts...And with the Michigan Donut & Ice Cream Fest coming up, I think we need one.

How about, "I do, You don't, But we all go nuts for donuts"? I think we have a real winner there. But back to the main point of this article that I so quickly glossed over earlier...

The Michigan Donut & Ice Cream Fest is returning this September.

Michigan Donut & Ice Cream Fest in Lake Orion

If you've got a sweet tooth, mark your calendar for September 10th at 11th (yes, this is a two-day festival that's completely dedicated to ice cream and donuts). This delicious festival is pretty inexpensive to attend. You can buy your tickets in advance for $5, at the door for $8, and parking is just $5 too.

What's really mouthwatering about this festival is that, yes, it's all about donuts and ice cream, but they also have lots of other yummy food and drink that you can enjoy, like beer, cider, and more.

I'm going to take a guess and say this is bound to be an awesome event. It's being put on by Canterbury Village, which plays host to all kinds of neat-looking events; a Harry Potter Birthday Celebration, a Hippie Fest, and is planning a fall festival for later in September too.

If you want to indulge your sweet tooth and have a good time, check out more details and get your tickets here.

Best Places For Cider & Donuts In The Mid-Michigan Area

Look, you can't tell me you aren't a fan of cider and donuts. It's a Fall tradition here in Michigan. Truthfully too, if I'm going, to be honest, it is also a winter tradition. While, we could've included big corporate chains to this list, we decided to just stick local. Don't forget to support your local farmers!

Dairy-Free/Vegan Ice Cream in the Greater Lansing Area

When you're lactose intolerant, vegan or just choosing to live dairy-free, it can be a struggle navigating a bustling food scene like Lansing's. It's especially harder to enjoy sweet treats like ice cream which is why more and more spots are offering non-dairy options!
