Michigan has a real-life Dr. Frankenstein. He doesn't create monsters, he's not creepy, scary or evil.

He's Dr. Waldo Frankenstein, and he's had a practice in Bellevue for almost 60 years.

The good doctor has endured the jokes and jabs at his name throughout his entire life, and he counter-attacks with a smile and by taking good care of the local families.

As quoted on wilx.com by his daughter Bridgette, "Halloween is a great time of the year for us because we decorate the house, have all the trick-or-treaters come down the street. We used to have Halloween parties in the barn, and mom and dad would get them all set up."

His wife Marilyn, the real "Bride of Frankenstein", passed away in 2004. They would've been celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary later that year.

As far as we know, unless someone tells us differently, the doc is still working after 64 years at the age of 91...still respected throughout the community and well-loved by his patients and fellow townspeople! His office might have moved by now, but the address we have is 205 N. Main Street, right next to the Native American Stone Hall in Bellevue.

Pay a visit and say hi to the doc!
