Kelly Ripa Spotted in Ann Arbor Supporting U of M Wrestling Championship
Kelly Ripa was in full sports mom mode at the Big House this past weekend. Sporting blue & maize, the talk show host was beaming with pride for a really cool reason.
Ripa along with her husband Mark Consuelos when on hand to celebrate their youngest son Joaquin along with the rest of the university's wrestling team's 2022 Big Ten championship. The team was honored during last Saturday's football game at Michigan the Big House against Penn State. The team received their championship rings in front of a full "house" as fans and parents looked on.
Ripa and Consuelos, who have become fixtures in and around Ann Arbor since their son started school there, took to social media to share photos of the big day. Consuelos shared a picture on his Instagram story with the caption "Big10Champs" along with the biggest proud father smile.
Michigan Wrestling shared pictures of the team and families celebrating the special moment and captured a shot of Ripa just being a typical mom grabbing a shot of her son on stage showing her his ring.
Ripa and Consuelos, who are also parents son Michael 25, and a daughter Lola 21, haven't been shy about bragging about their son's accomplishments at Michigan and how much they love being sports parents even though the whole collegiate thing is new to them.
"We're such good wrestling parents that we just say whatever the parents sitting by us are saying," Ripa said during her show in February. Consuelos agreed with his wife's statement, saying, "We don't know anything!"
A big congratulations to the entire University of Michigan wrestling team!
