ArtFeast Returns to Old Town Lansing This Weekend

If you like art, food, and spending a summer Saturday wandering around one of Lansing's coolest neighborhoods, you might want to make plans for Old Town this weekend.

ArtFeast returns to Old Town Lansing this Saturday, August 15, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.

The annual event takes over Turner Street, combining two things that honestly don't need much convincing to put together — local art and good food.

Artists and makers will be set up throughout the neighborhood with handmade goods, original artwork, crafts, and plenty of other one-of-a-kind creations. In other words, this isn't the kind of stuff you're going to find sitting on a shelf at some big-box store.

And because apparently looking at art makes you hungry, there'll be food trucks there too.

Old Town Has More to Offer Than Just ArtFeast

One of my favorite things about events in Old Town is that you don't necessarily have to stick to the event itself.

Old Town is one of those parts of Lansing that's perfect for wandering. Pop into one of the neighborhood's boutiques or galleries. Grab something to eat. Stop somewhere for a drink. Take a walk down by the river. ArtFeast gives you a reason to come down, but you could easily turn it into an entire afternoon.

Here's another nice part: admission to ArtFeast won't cost you anything.

It's free to attend, so the only money you have to spend is whatever you talk yourself into spending once you see something you like... or smell something coming from one of those food trucks.
