Most of us love a good hot cup of coffee, Joe, Java or whatever you affectionately call that wonderful liquid that gets our day started, and for some, keeps it going.

When I was younger I did not like coffee. My parents drank it black, no cream or sugar. My Mom in the summer would drink it over ice. Yuck! Always too bitter for me.

Until about 15 years ago I stayed away from it. Then I was hungover one morning and decided to grab a cup of coffee. That was a turning point, I don’t know why but that cup of coffee with cream and splenda put a little spark in me.

After that I went a little crazy with gourmet coffees and it became a passion. These days I do a couple cups every morning, and I’m not like some of my friends are. Don’t even talk to them until they have had their coffee.

But once I wake up in the morning, coffee is what is on my mind and it provides a great start to my day. Lately I’ve been seeing articles on how good coffee is for you.

Medical News Today

says When people think of coffee, they usually think of its ability to provide an energy boost. However, according to some research, it can also offer some other important health benefits, such as a lower risk of liver cancer, type 2 diabetes, and heart failure . Worldwide, experts estimate that people consume around 2.25 billion cups of coffee per day.
