It isn't official until tonight's induction ceremony.  But Michigan State coach Tom Izzo took a big step toward the Basketball Hall of Fame when he received the Naismith orange blazer during an afternoon press conference on Thursday.

You can't really dream getting into the Hall of Fame, Tom Izzo told the crowd.  You can dream the national championships.  You can dream doing some big things, but the Hall of Fame is something beyond that, way beyond.

MSU coach Tom Izzo throughout his amazing coaching career has several defining moments.  The 2000 national championship, first big 10 championship, appointed Jud's successor in 1993, I'm a Spartan for life announcement, and so many more great moments.

Tom Izzo inducted in the Naismith Memorial Hall of Fame tonight in Springfield, Mass., with no shortage of accomplishments and honors.  Here's more from the Lansing State Journal.
