Bay City’s Christmas Tree is Highlight of Holiday Season
What is it about finding the perfect Christmas tree for the holiday season? When you see the right tree, it's just a magical feeling that takes over and then before you know it, you're hanging the lights.
Bay City has been very busy looking for the right Christmas tree for their upcoming holiday celebration.
According to mlive.com:
On Monday, Nov. 21, Bay City’s Christmas tree was brought in on the back of a flatbed to be put up for all to enjoy at Wenonah Park. The 30-foot-blue spruce arrived with a police escort after being removed from Bryan Brenda Kramer’s property in the south end.
This beautiful 30 foot spruce tree can be seen in downtown Bay City during their annual tree lighting ceremony taking place at the end of the week.
Mlive.com also adds:
The annual tree-lighting ceremony will be held on Friday, Nov. 25. The festivities will kick off at 7 p.m. and there will be horse and carriage rides, hot cocoa and popcorn balls, and plenty of photo ops. A Bay Scout Troop will be leading the crowd in the pledge of allegiance and a local singer will be performing the National Anthem. In addition, Miss Bay County and her court will be performing a short dance routine.
Here in the Lansing area, we just finished celebrating "Silver Bells in the City" with an electric light parade and the lighting of our downtown Lansing holiday Christmas tree.
This week, Michiganders will celebrate the lighting of another spectacular Christmas tree. Bay City is the place to be this Friday, November 25.
This holiday celebration will feature Santa Claus singing several holiday songs and then Santa will lead a big countdown to the lighting of Bay City's Christmas tree.
Sounds like a great time to me. Keep in the mind that the first 2,000 spectators will get a glow stick to help Santa make his way to the big Christmas tree. Happy Holidays!
