The Abandoned, Decaying Farmhouse in Livingston County
WARNING: Under no circumstances should you enter this property. By doing so you risk bodily harm and/or prosecution for trespassing on private property.
This has got to be one of the spookiest abandoned Michigan farm houses I have ever seen. It appears to have been deserted since the early 1990s; even so, the place was left to rot and deteriorate to such extreme measures, that it looks as though it's been abandoned for decades longer.
It sits away from the road at an undisclosed countryside location near Howell. It is NOT a safe place for ANYone to explore, whether you're a professional or not. The floors are rotted and easy to fall through...lots of jagged shards of glass, falling walls, and more lurking dangers (even the videographer who captured these images decided it was wise to stay away from certain areas of this house). There are some extraordinary wood-workings that was popular over on hundred years ago that you will see in the gallery below.
If you ever get permission to explore an old farm house – or ANY building – always have someone with you. Two extra people are even better in case of emergencies. Getting permission is not that difficult. Just look for the nearest neighbor, knock on the door, and ask who owns the property. Nine times out of ten, they can direct you correctly.
Places like this may seem a breeze, but they are not for amateurs or thrill-seekers. Look at the photos below.
