4th of July Fireworks as Seen from the Rooftop of an Abandoned Detroit Warehouse
This past 4th of July, a group of kids from Detroit entered an abandoned warehouse in Detroit with a load of commercial fireworks in tow. They went up the stairs and onto the rooftop to have their own fireworks display. What they also got was a great view of Detroit’s Independence Day fireworks program.
They horsed around on the roof waiting for the sun to go down, precariously climbing the old water tower, not knowing if it was dangerous or not.
Against the awesome Detroit skyline as the sun was setting and the sky was still blue, they began setting off their own parking-lot-purchased pyrotechnics. While some continued with their flares and smoke bombs, the camera crew set up their cameras. When their stash was used up, they waited for the city fireworks display to begin.
Then it began...at once, the massive amount of fireworks made the city look as if it was aflame. It was really quite the sight; so much so, that the kids stopped being silly and just stared at the awesome display the city presented. Pretty impressive, indeed.
Below is a gallery featuring images of what the kids witnessed that night, from the top of an old abandoned building. It is followed by the complete video. Have a look!
