Are you ready for the most beautiful drive of your life? From flatlands to mountains, from lakes to rivers, and from sea to shining sea, Oprah has come out with her list of the most scenic drives in every state.

Some states have obvious choices of the most scenic drive. For example, when considering California, The Pacific Coast Highway is an easy pick. In Florida, many people will say the Overseas Highway should be tops. In Idaho, it's the Northwest Passage Scenic Byway. But where in Michigan does Oprah say is the most scenic drive?

If you guessed M-22, you'd be correct. It runs for 116 miles. It begins in Manistee County and runs along the lakeshore all the way up to Traverse City. It is often cited as one of the top fall drives in the country. With a built in pit stop, Oprah recommends pausing at Sleeping Bear Dunes.

"The Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lake Shore might be long and narrow, but it offers the best lakeside views when on the top of the Michigan "mitt."

This drive along West Michigan's shore offers more than foliage. You'll be able to see dunes, beaches, and lighthouses too. But here's the thing...I'm not sure Oprah herself has been on the stretch. The article was written for her daily blog by some contributors.

If you wanna head out on the open road this summer, Oprah Daily has a complete list of scenic drives in ALL 50 states. Country Living magazine has a similar list.
