The Top 5 Beaches in Michigan:

  • #5 Manistique, which made the list due to it being visited more by locals so it might be one of the less crowded beaches this summer. Also you can check out the Seul Choix Point Lighthouse and take a tour of the famous ghost town from the 19th century, Fayette.
  • #4 Empire Beach, made the list as it is located in the beauty of the Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore. It is also a dog-friendly beach and is perfect for adventure water sports as well as hiking and bird-watching.
  • #3 Sleeping Bear Dune National Lakeshore, this made the list as it was rated the most beautiful place in the U.S. It also has the dunes which are visited by tons of people and after you climb them you can jump in the blue beautiful water and golden sand.
  • #2 Orchard Beach State Park, this is high on the list for its over 150 campsites with amazing views of Lake Michigan. Plus they have a pier as well activities like fishing, hiking, and picnicking.
  • #1 Grand Haven - this has been voted as the best beach for a few years now as they have tons of amenities as well as a picturesque red lighthouse and a beautiful boardwalk that goes all the way to the center of the town. The beach costs $9 a day but is worth it as it has plenty of great food and is a pet friendly beach so lots of dogs also say this is their favorite beach.
