It's a new year and a new thing for you and your family to do on the weekends in Lansing.

Luckily for us, the snow has decided to cooperate too.

From our friends over at Ingham County Parks:

NEW THIS YEAR... snow tubing tickets for the Hawk Island hill will be available to purchase online.  Due to limited capacity, all visitors are encouraged to purchase a timed-entry ticket online before arriving at the parkThis is to help limit the number of people on the hill and to promote social distancing. Also new this year, we have designated times for sessions.

Heads up:

Tickets are $2 a piece. When purchasing your tickets, they will ask you for a headcount of people in your party and there is a liability waiver you need to read over and sign.

There is a max count of 75 people per session. These are selling very well with many dates already full. As of the writing of this article, tickets were available for January 10th and after that you would have to start looking at the weekend of January 15th.

Tickets can be purchased on site if sessions are not full.

Concessions will not be open but you can bring our own snacks.

Social distancing and face masks will be required. (WILX)
