This is one thing that usually drives me crazy, losing power in my home. A few years back, an ice storm caused a major power outage in the mid-Michigan area. We didn't have power for at least four days.

According to the Lansing State Journal, about 2,400 Consumers Energy customers in the Potterville area will be without power for a few hours this weekend while the utility works on the electrical system.

The planned outage is set for midnight to 4 a.m. Sunday.

It will happen within an area bordered by Strange Highway on the north, North Cochran Road on the west, North Canal Road on the east and Island Highway on the south.

Consumers said all affected customers will be notified for the service interruption by mail.

You know what the best part of this is? You'll probably be asleep during this whole process and then wake up in the morning with your power turned back on.
