Peanut Shop Owner is Retiring, What Does This Mean For the Downtown Lansing Business?
More change is coming to Downtown Lansing.
The owner of the longtime Lansing small business, The Peanut Shop, is officially retiring. Don't worry though, the Lansing State Journal reports that The Peanut Shop isn't closing. Thankfully we don't have to add them to the ever-growing list of businesses in Lansing that have closed this year.
New Owners for The Peanut Shop in Downtown Lansing
In a letter posted to The Peanut Shop's Facebook page, owner Tammy Melser said that "it's with mixed emotions that I share the news that I'll be retiring from The Peanut Shop." You can read the whole letter in the post below.
Although Melser is retiring, that does not mean that the Downtown Lansing business is shutting its doors. In fact, owner Tammy was sure to let us know in her Facebook post that the two new owners plan on keeping the store open and true to itself while still making improvements, like getting the store online.
The Peanut Shop has been in Downtown Lansing for what seems like forever. According to the Lansing State Journal, the Peanut Shop is one of the last standing places that was an original Planters Peanuts place.
Support Lansing - Shop Local, Shop Small, Shop Lansing
