National Retailer Coming to Jackson, Michigan’s Vacant Party City Location

The vacant building at 1510 N. West Avenue in Jackson, Michigan has housed at least two national retailers; both disappeared completely (though one was absorbed by another chain), and a third retail chain is now slated to open in the same location. The first failed big box store was Office Depot, which still technically exists at 1515 Boardman Road in Jackson as Office Max since the 'Depot' and the 'Max' merged in 2013, the same year as the store's closure. Party City moved in right after the Office Max closure and remained until the company declared bankruptcy and closed the Jackson location on April 26, 2023. Over a year later, it looks like a new tenant, with "Good Stuff Cheap," will be opening in late summer or early fall.

This is great news for residents who love a good bargain in Jackson, Michigan. A national retailer with 431 locations across the country will soon pack the former Party City location with closeouts, package changes, and discontinued merchandise.

Ollie's Bargain Outlet Opening in Jackson, Michigan's Former Party City Location

Those looking for deep discounts on everything from food to furniture will be happy to know that Ollie's Bargain Outlet is moving into the vacant Party City location at 1510 N. West Avenue in Jackson, Michigan.

According to a recent MLive article, Ollie's Bargain Outlet has over 500 locations nationwide and is famous for offering impressive savings on items they purchase from suppliers who are looking to unload perfectly good products that have either stopped production or undergone a branding change.

So, while Jackson may miss having a convenient location to purchase fake dog poop and Halloween attire, they will be happy to find out that they may still find these items at Ollie's. They just have to stop in on the regular to see if either has been pulled off shelves in other stores or if it has a new logo (rebranding is common with fake dog poop).
