Halloween season brings out the spooky in most of us...and Michigan State University is reported to have it's share of creepy happenings. The campus is reported to have many haunted buildings & places, including:

FAIRCHILD AUDITORIUM - the ghost of a young boy roams the halls and weird noises from the stage have been heard...

HOLMES HALL - On the 6th floor of the west building, a shadowy figure is seen to enter an elevator; the door immediately opens after a couple of seconds and the elevator is empty. Two strange figures are occasionally seen after 3am entering elevators. Sometimes appliances mysteriously appear on the elevators...

HUBBARD HALL - on the 12th floor, the lights go on and off by themselves; doors slamming, running and laughter are heard; a shadow enters the elevator and goes to the 9th floor - when the door opens, one feels a small gust of wind go by. Appliances go on and off and windows open & close by themselves...

MASON HALL - The ghost of an old man is seen in the basement's Oak Room; story says in 1975 he was locked in there and eventually died. Loud banging, lights flicker and a presence can be felt in the laundry room...

MAYO HALL - Named after May Mayo, whose ghost plays the piano. The Red Room is said to have once been used for satanic rituals...

PHYSICAL PLANT - In room 25 of the basement, a man is said to have killed 17 puppies; the crying of distraught children has been heard, especially on cold nights and Saturday afternoons in July...

UNIVERSITY GARDEN - Screaming has been heard and ghostly figures have been spotted...

WILLIAMS HALL - Receptionists report the TV turning off & on by itself. Ghostly figures have been seen walking the halls and dancing in the cafeteria. Also noises coming from empty rooms and computers turning on by themselves...
