Tis' the season for giving back and helping those in need. A moving company is helping victims of domestic violence move at no cost nationwide. The company is called College HUNKS Hauling Junk & Moving and they've already done 100 free moves across the U.S. and Canada.

The company says the new program is important as more people are finding themselves in tough situations due to the pandemic and lockdown. College Hunks Co Founder Nick Friedman says,

“I definitely think our Free Moves for Survivors of Domestic Violence program sheds light on a really important issue that is not often talked about. As a purpose driven, socially-conscious organization we’re always looking for ways to positively impact our communities—in this case, particularly for those who feel powerless in unhealthy home situations.”

College Hunks has 131 locations across the U.S. and Canada and are offering to move you or your loved one at no cost. If you are someone in an unhealthy situation, or know someone who is and are in need of help, you can find more information here.

College Hunks are helping with more then domestic abuse situations. They've found many ways to help those in need. They've recently been transporting COVID-19 supplies, beds and other medical supplies to frontline healthcare workers. They're also participating in a meal program where they donate food to Feeding Children Everywhere.

If you're looking for ways to give back to your community this winter season, here are some ways to do that in the Lansing area. You can give back by donating blood or volunteering.
