There's nothing better than walking in a fun filled winter wonderland featuring all kinds of incredible holiday and Christmas events.

Most recently we were all able to go to downtown Lansing and enjoy "Silver Bells in the City." And yes that was a blast, especially watching the electric light parade and the lighting of the huge Christmas Tree in front of the State Capitol.

Now it's time to focus on upcoming events taking place in the Greater Lansing area. All of these events are for the whole family to enjoy during the holiday season.

One of these events is Toys for Tots at the Wonderland of Lights. This event takes place on Saturday, Dec. 4 at Lansing's Potter Park Zoo on S Pennsylvania Avenue.

All you have to do is bring a new or unwrapped toy on Dec. 4, and you get in absolutely free to see the most beautiful lights ever at Potter Park Zoo. Bring the whole family and make a night of it. The event starts at 5:00 p.m.

Another fun event taking place on Saturday as well is Wild Holidays with Santa at the Howell Nature Center. All the fun starts at 1 p.m. at 1005 Triangle Lake Rd. in Howell.

Kids will absolutely love this event because jolly old St. Nicolas will be there on Saturday sitting in his Christmas Treehouse Workshop. You'll see all kinds of beautiful decorations and you'll be treated with hot cocoa as well.

If you enjoy ice carving along with live music, then we have the perfect spot for you this weekend. It's called "Winter Glow" and it's happening this Saturday, Dec. 4 at 2 p.m. in East Lansing.

My wife and I are planning on going because we enjoy going to the farmers market. Not only a farmers market, but live music and many activities for children to enjoy as well.

It's time to get outside and enjoy all that Greater Lansing has to offer during this festive holiday season. Here's more from Lansingfamilyfun.com.
