Modern Family Goes Digital

Next week's episode of Modern Family will have a digital twist, it was filmed with iPhones, iPads and a computer.

In the episode, Julie Bowen's character, Claire Dunphy, desperately tries to locate her daughter Haley, played by Sarah Hyland, after a fight.  The half hour basically consists of a series of interactions using Apple's Face Time.

Series co-creator Steve Levitan says the premise of the episode, titled "Connection Lost," came from an online experience he had with his own family.
