Mobile Vaccine Clinics Coming To Greater Lansing

In February it was announced that the Greater Lansing bus service was offering individuals rides to receive their COVID-19 vaccines. Well now, they're bringing the vaccines to people.

The Capital Area Transportation, Eaton County Transportation Authority and Clinton Transit have set up mobile vaccination clinics so everyone has equal access to a vaccines.

CATA CEO Bradley Funkhouser says it's important that the vaccine is available to everyone. The clinics are set up to ensure communities of color and individuals who are disabled or homebound are able to get vaccinated.

Funkhouser told the Lansing State Journal that the goal is to get as many people as possible vaccinated.

We need to reach out to the communities, we need to go into the neighborhoods with this conversation. We need to do whatever it takes to get the number of vaccines for herd immunity up.

Ingham County Health Officer Linda Vail told Lansing State Journal it's also important that providers get out into the community and visit places such as senior housing and churches to distribute vaccines.

Weekdays (M-F) - 6:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

Weekends - 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

Eatran

Eatran offers rides Monday through Friday from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. To schedule a ride call 517-543-4087

Clinton County

Clinton Transit will transport you to any vaccination clinic at any time on any day. To schedule a ride call 989-224-8127.
