Not gonna lie - this is the one haunted house in the mitten state that we wondered about.

Haunted house junkies, this is your season. And, like most people, you were probably wondering whether or not your favorite Halloween attractions would actually be able to open with the COVID-19 pandemic.

Never fear (pun intended), the biggest haunted house in Michigan is opening its doors this Friday, September 25th. Things, of course, will look a bit different than last year.

The half-mile haunt known as Erebus Haunted Attraction in Pontiac will open up to the public this week. Guests and actors are required to wear face masks and there will be NO TOUCHING. In fact, to minimize human contact, the actors are having their makeup applied by airbrush instead of by-hand, according to the Oakland Press.

Erebus was named the number one haunted attraction in the country last year by USA Today’s 10 Best Readers’ Choice Travel Awards, so it's definitely one to put on your haunted house bucket list.

Staff will conduct temperature checks at the door for all guests and hand sanitizing stations will be at every "touch point" in the attraction, such as handrails. Tickets are sold every hour and are limited to reduce capacity inside. Groups are limited to six people and you can only walk through with the people who came with you.

Wanna buy tickets beforehand? Probably not a bad idea to plan ahead this year - you can more information and tickets at hauntedpontiac.com.
