According to Apt 2B Modern Furniture's American's Favorite Halloween Candies study, 92% of parents with kids under 13 still plan to trick-or-treat — proof that Michiganders are tough enough to face rain, sleet, or wind for free sugar.

Families might not go door-to-door as much as Trunk or Treats rise in popularity, but the tradition lives on — often ending with someone thawing their fingers over a cup of cocoa while muttering about "just one more house."
