If there's one thing I like more than anything, it's watching Michigan State Basketball.  According to the Detroit Free Press, Michigan State basketball player Matt McQuaid scored his season best 18 points during the 79 to 55 win over Minnesota.

Here's a few statistics about the 6 foot 5 senior guard.  McQuaid entered scoring 8.3 points a game but only was averaging 7.2 points and was shooting 31.9 percent on 47 shots in the past six games.

Here's the best part of this whole story.  Matt McQuaid's dad came up and came to practice on Friday.  Matt shot lights out at practice according to head coach Tom Izzo.

Tom Izzo said he wants Matt's dad to get an apartment for a month or something.  Apparently it made a big difference.  Matt shot really well Friday at practice and Saturday during the basketball game at the Breslin Center.
