The Michigan State Basketball team moved up a spot to No. 2 in both the USA Today Coaches Poll and the Associated Press Top 25, both of which were released Monday afternoon.

Villanova ascended to the top spot in both rankings.  MSU has not been No. 1 in the polls since the first week in January 2016.

Coach Tom Izzo said, "as they say it's not where you are in December, it's where you are in April that matters.  We'll just keep working toward that goal for ourselves.  Here's more from the Detroit Free Press.
