Michigan Part of Nationwide Ground Beef Recall

First of all - according to the USDA: "There have been no confirmed reports of adverse reactions due to consumption of these products." Well, yet.

According to USAToday, Saturday it was announced that 43,000 pounds of ground beef are being recalled because of possible E. coli contamination. This ground beef was sold nationwide and some of these packages were sold at Walmart. The beef in question was sold under brand names including Thomas Farms and Marketside Butcher and you can ID it by an establishment number “EST. 46841” inside the USDA mark of inspection. The Marketside Butcher products were the ones sold at Walmart.

Like I said before, there have been NO confirmed reports to the USDA (yet) of problems from this beef. The problem was discovered during routine testing, which is why you should be thankful you live in a country that tests food every once in a while.
