There are zero people in Michigan who request time off to spend it sprinting to the bathroom like it's an Olympic event. CDC Says Norovirus Peaks in Winter

According to the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), this virus peaks between November and April, which is incredible timing if your plans include the petri dish known as Detroit Metro Airport (DTW) or hosting relatives who swear they're not "SICK sick." Norovirus is the leading cause of stomach misery in America, infecting millions every year. It spreads fast, survives on surfaces, and only needs a microscopic amount to ruin your entire week. One contaminated doorknob and suddenly Christmas dinner becomes "everyone quietly suffering in different rooms."

Squaremouth Travel Insurance reports that airports, planes, hotels, cruise ships, and gas station bathrooms are basically luxury resorts for this virus. Michigan has already seen a spike, because winter traps us indoors and germs love togetherness. That quick hug? Shared snack? You've entered the "winter vomiting disease" danger zone.
