The Omega Law Group study focused on a one-year period, 2021 to 2022, and analyzed, on a per-state basis, what crimes residents were being charged with that would result in an arrest. Perhaps more interesting than what they were arrested for is who is more frequently cuffed, men or women?

Of the over 300,000 arrests, men represented 235,124, or 71%. During the same year, women accounted for 87,096, or 29%,

The number one arrestable offense committed from 2021 to 2022 in Michigan was simple assault, with 53,483 recorded. A simple assault, contrary to the name, doesn't necessarily involve physical contact. Even implied violence, or the threat thereof, can be considered simple assault.
