Having never been arrested, I find reading about what others do to get locked up oddly fascinating. The number one arrestable offense committed from 2021 to 2022 in Michigan was simple assault, with 53,483 recorded. A simple assault, contrary to the name, doesn't necessarily involve physical contact. Even implied violence, or the threat thereof, can be considered simple assault.
