Mackinac Island Restaurant Offering Meals On The Lawn
If you're looking to vacation this summer and want to continue social distancing, you can do so on Mackinac Island!
Not only was their national park voted as Michigan's best, but one of their restaurants is offering meals on the lawn and you don't need a reservation!
The Inn at Stonecliffe has turned their backyard into a cozy outdoor dining area. So, now you can lounge on their comfy patio furniture while taking in the breathtaking view of the Mackinac Bridge.

If you're worried about menu options, don't, they have something for everyone. Are you in the mood for a burger and shake? They have that. Or maybe you've vowed to be more adventurous with your food choices this year, try their ahi poke bowl or jerk chicken sandwich. They also have some gluten free and vegetarian/vegan options as well. You can view The Lawn at Stonecliff's full 2021 menu here.
Marie Bunker, the food and beverage manager at the inn told the Detroit Free Press that their decision to switch to outdoor dining has been a success so far.
"We changed our concept in the wake of COVID. We went from fine dining to something more casual, which has been a hit with locals and guests. People feel comfortable. They relax with breathtaking panoramic views.."
Not only will food on the lawn be available, but live music and yard games as well. They have lawn chess, bocce ball, giant Jenga and so much more. To read more on the story, visit the Detroit Free Press website.
While visiting, don't forget that the traveling magazine, the Condé Nast Traveler, voted Mackinac Island's State Park as Michigan's best state park because of it's history and numerous outdoor activities.
