Well, here's a switch. An event in 2020 that will happen as scheduled. The Mackinac Island Fudge Festival will take place (as scheduled) from Friday August 28th through Sunday August 30th.

According to UpNorthLive.com, some parts of the festival have been "reformatted to promote social distancing and safety" and a few events have been cancelled (the cornhole tournament on the lawn at Mission Point Resort) but other than that, the festival will go on, with the added bonus of being able to be there virtually on the Mackinac Island Tourism social media channels. Events include, "live and virtual fudge making demonstrations by the island’s fudge makers, a new fudge flavor reveal at May’s Candy Shop, and an exploration of the history of fudge by the island’s Chief Fudge Taster Phil Porter".

Wait. What?

Chief Fudge Taster? I will be exploring this career field a little deeper.
