Lucky’s Steakhouse Expected to Open in Okemos by September 20

Lucky's Steakhouse is expected to open its seventh restaurant at 3554 Okemos Road by Sept. 20.

The Okemos location will be the company's first restaurant in the Lansing area.  The 7,000-square foot building was previously home to Gilbert & Blake's Seafood and Steak Grille

The business closed in June after Lucky's Steakhouse purchased the property.  The new restaurant will employ between 90 to 100 people.  Hourly wages will range between $10 to $16 an hour.

The steakhouse opening comes on the heels of the abrupt and unexpected closure of the Ruby Tuesday restaurant in the Meridian Mall.  Here's more from the Lansing State Journal.
