According to the Lansing State Journal, "Ingham County health officials are recommending people limit their summer travels and quarantine themselves for two weeks after returning from a trip to a state with a high risk of COVID-19 transmission."

Here's the bottom line, currently due to the coronavirus pandemic, it's really not a good idea to do any traveling at this time or even months down the road. It's just too risky!

Ingham County Health Officer Linda Vail said "many people are used to being able to get away in the summer, but this is not a typical summer." (LSJ)

This is exactly why my wife and I will not do any traveling this summer. In fact, it might be quite some time before we venture out unless we rent an RV and take it to a state park. Even that can be a bit risky.

Let's take a look at a few high risk states: Florida, Arizona, Georgia, South Carolina, Texas and several others.

Michigan and most other Midwest states are listed on the site as at risk.

Even if you decide to venture out to another state this summer, Ingham County officials are recommending that before you return to your work place, the best thing you can do is work from home and self quarantine.

"The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommends that all international travelers self quarantine for 14 days." (LSJ)

Well at least for now, I think my wife and I will stay home and focus on a stay-cation for the time being. We might play a little golf and do a day trip sometime soon.
