Lansing School District Spends $1.5 Million For Clean Air
Do you have an air purifier at home? I have invested in 3 over the last 10 to15 years, and I love it. There may be so much dust in your home, and you would not even know it unless the sun is shining bright. It helps me breath better, and I like the fact I am breathing cleaner air.
So, I think it's great that the Lansing School District has spent $1.5 million on new air cleaning equipment and UV germ killing machines. This is because students are getting ready to return to in person learning under a hybrid model on March 22nd according to fox47.com.
“Our goal is to return children to school buildings in the safest possible environment,” said Gabrielle Lawrence, president of the Lansing School District Board of Education.
And that's not all. The Lansing School District has already installed more than 400 of the 659 room air filtering units. Also 8 of the ultra-violet light units will be used in classrooms once the buildings are empty for the evening. What a great way to keep the kids healthy and smiling.
