If you're unfamiliar with measles, it's a highly contagious viral infection that attacks your respiratory system and comes with high fever, sore throat, cough, fatigue, bluish-white spots in your mouth called Koplik spots, and the red, spotted rash that pops up two to three weeks after exposure.
Measles Complications Aren't Pretty
Ear infections, pneumonia, and encephalitis are all bi-products of a measles infection. In some cases, the virus can result in death, especially for those with weakened immune systems.
