Lansing Area Bars and Restaurants That Serve Amazing Mocktails
So here's the rub...
I'm in the second trimester of my first pregnancy, and I am deeply craving a cocktail. I've never been a huge drinker, but something about not getting to have one is making me crave it all the more. Something bubbly and fruity and delicious. And I can't be the only one!
Whether you are a pregnant person, a sober person, an underage person, or just a person who doesn't feel like drinking alcohol at the moment, there's got to be something out there for us, right? That's when I discovered the beauty of a mocktail.
Mocktails
No, I'm not saying I discovered mocktails by any means. But, I did discover for myself how much they really hit the spot when you can't imbibe alcohol at the moment.
I was at brunch with my husband and some friends when I saw that the restaurant we were at offered mocktails alongside their mimosas and spiked coffee drinks. When I ordered one, the bartender asked what I liked, if I like citrus and if I liked sweet drinks, to which I confirmed I did. And within five minutes, I had the most beautiful pink, bubbly drink sitting in front of me. It came in a cute glass with a lime garnish and everything!
It was this delicious combination of triple berry syrup with lime juice, soda, ginger beer, and a hint of cinnamon. I was a little skeptical about the cinnamon, but boy was I wrong because I had to keep myself from drinking it down in two gulps.
So, just because a restaurant or bar serves alcohol, doesn't mean they can't create a mocktail for you. Maybe set aside your usual lemonade or iced tea sometimes, and try something new?
