Josh Groban will be singing the national anthem at the 141st Kentucky Derby this year. The performance will take place at Louisville's Churchill Downs Racetrack just after 5p.m. EDT on Saturday, May 2.

This will be Josh's second time attending the historic horse race, but his first time performing.  He's only the seventh artist to perform the national anthem since Churchill Downs began the tradition in 2009.

The Kentucky Derby, which dates back to 1875, is the oldest continuously held sporting event in North America.

April 28, Josh will release his seventh studio album, Stages.  The project is a collection of some of the greatest musical theater songs of all time, and also features a duet with Kelly Clarkson.
