Temperatures are expected to rise over 90 degrees later this week, that's why Jackson community is working to help those who need relief from the heat.

According to WILX News 10, Your Breaking News and Weather Authority, the city of Jackson's two community centers and several other local organizations will be operating as cooling centers during the heat wave and will be open to anyone who needs a place to cool off.

Here are a few of the buildings that will be functioning as cooling centers:

1.  Jackson Transit Authority-Transfer Center at 127 W. Cortland St.

2.  Martin Luther King Community Center at 1107 Adrian St.

3.  Lifeways Community Mental Health at 1200 N. West Avenue.
